You start editing one bullet point, then second-guess whether the wording will pass a filter, whether the gap will look wrong, whether the title is too ambitious or not ambitious enough, whether sending it today means wasting one of the few roles that actually fits. Around you, people keep asking how the search is going, recruiters post vague encouragement, classmates and former coworkers announce new jobs, and your inbox stays mostly quiet except for automated confirmations and polite rejections. The pressure is not one dramatic moment; it is the daily friction of needing income, direction, and proof that you are moving, while the process keeps hiding the rules. By the time you close the laptop, nothing visible has happened except another evening gone, much like the figure on the Eight of Swords, bound and surrounded by blades, with space around them but no clear way to move without getting cut.
