What does this feel like?

Clarity Shock — you feel it before you can explain it, like a flash behind the ribs or a sharp lift in the stomach when something suddenly becomes too visible to blur. One second you are still moving through the usual fog of maybe, later, not sure, let me think about it; the next, the room feels brighter in a way that almost hurts. Your body goes still, your hands may feel oddly awake, your chest tightens as if it has been caught by a clean line of light, and your thoughts start racing even though the answer itself feels strangely simple. You might keep scrolling, answering messages, sitting in a meeting, or walking home, but everything has a new edge now: the sentence someone said, the pattern you kept softening, the choice you kept treating as open. It is not calm certainty; it is the stunned moment after certainty has entered the room too fast. Inside, you may hear yourself thinking, Wait, so this is what has been happening? or I can't unsee this now, even while another part of you tries to rebuild the old explanation because at least that version had somewhere to stand. Clarity Shock is bright, exact, and physically destabilizing, much like The Tower when golden lightning cuts into the crown and sends the highest point away before anyone in the scene can pretend the structure is still intact.

Why you're feeling this?

Clarity Shock makes sense because seeing clearly can hit the body before it feels usable. You are not wrong for feeling thrown by something that also makes things more visible. Some forms of knowing arrive as impact first, and only later become language.
