What does this feel like?

Dating FOMO is that tight, buzzing feeling that starts in your chest when you open an app, see someone's soft-launch post, or hear about a date that sounds easier, hotter, more certain than whatever is in front of you. Your thumb keeps moving before your mind catches up, checking messages, rereading replies, wondering if you picked too quickly, waited too long, stayed too casual, got attached too soon. Nothing feels settled because every option seems to come with a shadow version of the life you might be missing: the person you did not swipe on, the text you did not send, the night out you skipped, the version of you who is somehow more wanted somewhere else. Even when something is going well, part of you is hovering outside it, scanning for proof that there is a better spark just beyond reach. Your body can feel wired and hollow at the same time, like you are full of electricity but not fully inside your own life. You may laugh on a date while a tiny voice asks whether this is enough, whether enough is even something you would recognize, whether choosing one path means closing a door you were not ready to close. Dating FOMO makes attention feel split into too many tabs, each one glowing, each one asking to be checked, much like the figure on the Seven of Cups, standing before floating choices and unable to tell which cup is solid enough to hold.
